Learn Foreign Language Center

Hi,
As you would have inferred from the heading, I want to learn a foreign language. I am currently in high school and already know basic german, but I have read online that Germans expect German to be spoken clearly and precisely. I can never acheive that level where I am study (due to lack of speaking partners). What do you all suggest? Continue German? Or some other language?. I am looking for one which is modern and logical and which increase job prospects. Thanks.
