I think some people’s brains are better-built for learning languages, just as some people’s brains are better for doing math problems, and some for music. But I think everyone can learn a foreign language with enough effort. Definitely going from Asian to European is a big jump (I know Asian langage grammar still confuses me), but it just takes some time to understand.

I’m European and so I study european languages.To tell you the truth,I tried to learn Japanese but I found it so hard.I found the (French,Italian,Spanish,English)languages much more easier to learn.
It’s a very huge gap between European and Asian languages.One of the reasons is because of how they write (the alphabet).The other reason is because they are so different from European languages.Like European languages are somewhat very similar to each other,for example French,Spanish and Italian.

In my opinion everybody can learn a foreign language if they need to, more or less good.
You don’t necessarily need a “special ability” but discipline, endurance, good commemoration, interest in languages and pleasure in learning are always very helpful!
It’s also a matter of the learning method you are using, the best method is to actually speak the language and practice it with native speakers. A language is nothing you can learn well only by reading books or visiting websites.
